Description
This dreamy ring features five diamonds fashioned into the oldest known faceting pattern. the table cut. Usually cut by cleaving the raw diamond from its natural octahedral crystal shape. the table-cut diamond has a characteristic flat top with few or no crown facets. The effect is one of shine and luster rather than brilliant sparkle -- just one of the things we love about this sweet ring!
- The ring is set with five table-cut diamonds weighing a combined total of 0.30 carats
- The band measures approximately 3.5mm in width at the top of the ring. and tapers to about 2mm.
- Crafted of 14k gold with a sterling silver closed-back collet setting; there is oxidation visible behind the diamonds. which is characteristic of jewelry from this jewelry era and was purposely retained.
- One of the diamonds has a visible surface flaw that does not affect the stability of the stone or setting; this is reflected in the cost of the ring.
- This ring is antique. dated c. 1800. and as such may show signs of wear commensurate with its age. The stones have been evaluated for security and the ring has been cleaned and polished.
