This Old European Cut diamond was reclaimed from an antique piece of jewelry. and was most likely fashioned into a cut stone 100-150 years ago. 

Before the advent of modern gem-cutting technology. diamonds were cut by hand. often at the site of the mine and under low-light conditions like gaslight or candlelight.

The resulting faceting pattern creates a twinkling pattern of refractions and reflections throughout the stone. charmingly irregular proportions. and unique sparkle.

This stone has a slightly warm undertone and features a high degree of clarity. It would make a beautiful solitaire ring or pendant.

If purchased as a loose gemstone. this stone may be returned for a full refund. or exchanged for store credit. within three days of pick-up or delivery receipt. After three days. a 15% restocking fee will be assessed on return of loose stones.
